Heart wants to obey this Maulana… What is Inzamam claiming on Harbhajan?

New Delhi: Pakistan defeated India in the Super-4 round of the Asia Cup on Sunday night. Arshdeep Singh, who took a simple catch in the 18th over, has been made a villain. Pakistan sponsored Twitter handle is being trolled by calling him Khalistani and traitor. The cricketer’s Wikipedia page has also been tampered with. Meanwhile, a video of a former Pakistan captain is also becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which a sensational claim is being made about another Sikh cricketer. Let us understand the whole matter.

Inzamam-ul-Haq is seen in a video uploaded on an Instagram handle named Pakistan Untold. After retiring from cricket, Inzamam, who played 499 international matches for Pakistan, is always seen in kurta-pajama by growing his beard. In the 1 minute 46 second video, Inzamam mentions Maghrib Namaz. Inzamam says that Indian players like Irfan Pathan, Mohammad Kaif and Zaheer Khan also used to come with him to offer Namaz, along with some non-Muslim players who used to sit there and listen to Maulana.

Inzamam further says, ‘One day Harbhajan Singh told me that this man (Maulana) is not. My heart wants me to accept this. So I said that suppose then what is difficult. Then he started saying that I stop seeing you. However, after watching and listening to this video, it is not clear from anywhere that Harbhajan was so attracted to Islam that he was about to convert. How old is the video? There is no concrete information about which series or tour Inzamam is talking about. There has also been no clarification or refutation on this claim from Harbhajan Singh, who became a Rajya Sabha MP after retirement.
