When he tried to know about the children, it came to know that the children have been sent to child labor on the Gujarat border, where the children are made to work for 18-18 hours for very little money. Durgaram explains that many middlemen were involved in this child trafficking. They wanted to save the children from middlemen. In such a situation, he started an awareness campaign about education among parents. Since 2008, Durgaram went door-to-door to create awareness about education.
