The head of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Sharjah Police, Major Abdullah Al-Mandhari, revealed that the rate of traffic accidents decreased by 26% during the first half of this year compared to the same period last year, as part of the efforts made to reduce the rates of traffic accidents and severe injuries.

During his hosting of the “Aman, My Country” program, prepared by the Media and Public Relations Department of Sharjah Police today, Al-Mandhari said that this achievement came as a result of work in implementing the traffic system, which is in line with the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Interior aimed at enhancing security and safety and making roads safer. .

Al-Mandhari reviewed the efforts of the Sharjah Police in achieving traffic safety and reducing accidents, by distributing traffic patrols to various regions to regulate traffic, in addition to launching several campaigns throughout the year, noting that the statistics showed a significant increase in the number of beneficiaries of those campaigns. Awareness, which confirms the extent of traffic awareness and culture of community members.

He also talked about the modern technologies that have been developed in the field of control, stressing that the Sharjah Police pursues continuous development through its stimulating environment to activate innovations and modern systems and use them effectively, as the Traffic Innovation Lab has developed a number of techniques to control movement. On the roads, including a noise control device, a monitoring device, a monitoring device for people with disabilities parking violators, and other modern devices and technologies that help to carry out the assigned tasks more accurately and faster.
