Dubai: Virat Kohli has scored a century in international cricket after waiting for almost three years. He played an unbeaten innings of 122 runs against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup. After taking rest from Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli got a chance to open the batting. He completed his century in 53 balls. This is Virat’s first century in T20 International cricket. At the same time, this is the first century of any batsman in this Asia Cup.

Credit given to wife and daughter
Virat Kohli has credited his century for his century to his wife Anushka Sharma and daughter Vamika. Virat Kohli said in an interview after the innings, ‘I kissed my ring. Virat Kohli scored the last international century in 2019. He says that the last two and a half years have taught him a lot. Virat said, ‘The last two and a half years have taught me a lot. I am going to turn 34 in a month. Actually I was shocked. This is the last format in which I thought of a century. I know there was a lot of talk going on but the team has always been helpful.
