Dehradun: Five More Electric Buses Will Run From Isbt To Sahastradhara

Five more electric buses will now run between ISBT and Sahastradhara. Urban Development Minister Premchand Agarwal flagged off five new electric buses under Smart City. Along with this, four smart toilets were also started at four places.

On Thursday, Cabinet Minister Premchand Agarwal, Smart City CEO and District Magistrate Sonika, Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama, BJP Mandal President, Rajpur Road Vishal Gupta flagged off five electric buses from the parade ground on Thursday.

After this, Minister Aggarwal reached the smart toilet located near Tibetan Market by boarding an electric bus. Started smart toilet by cutting the ribbon here. The minister received information regarding smart toilets. Also praised the CEO for this. The Minister informed that out of 27 projects under Smart City, five projects have been completed. Rest of the work is going on fast.

The bus will stop at 35 places on the route of 21 km

Minister Premchand Agrawal informed that under Smart City, five electric buses will be operated from ISBT to Sahastradhara route. The buses will run under a contract between Dehradun Smart City Limited and eBay Tras Company. Now a fleet of 20 electric buses is ready in Dehradun. There will be 35 bus stops on a total route of 21 km. Its minimum fare is Rs.10. So far 98 thousand 474 passengers have been facilitated through 15 buses operating from ISBT to Selakui, Raipur and Airport routes. It has earned a revenue of Rs one crore 91 lakh.

Now here also the facility of smart toilet

The Minister also launched four smart toilets at Parade Ground, Old Tehsil Complex, Sabzi Mandi Complex and ISBT Complex. He said that so far seven smart toilets have been constructed in the city under the sanctioned Rs one crore 81 lakh under the Smart City project. Of these, three toilets have already started in view of public convenience, while four smart toilets were inaugurated on Thursday. There are separate arrangements for women, men and handicapped. These include automatic cleaning systems like flushing, contactless hand washing, hand dryer, soap dispenser as well as sanitary vending and disposable machines specially for women. Free urinal for use of toilet and convenience fee for toilet has been fixed at Rs.5. Payment can be done digitally or through cash.
