In fact, earlier the crop sown in 42 lakh acres was estimated to be damaged, but the new estimate is about 82.5 lakh acres of the crop being destroyed.
According to the report, many crops including cotton, paddy have suffered significant damage and if the flood water is not properly drained, then it can also affect the sowing of wheat.
