Former Union Minister and MP Santosh Gangwar, in a meeting with the General Manager of North Eastern Railway on Friday, expressed grief that even after writing several letters, the very important Agra Fort train for Bareilly is not being run regularly. Union Minister of State BL Verma demanded expansion of Kachla station and construction of underpass or overbridge at Bitroi level crossing.
In the meeting held in the meeting room of Railway General Manager Ashok Kumar Mishra in the mechanical factory Izzatnagar, only two Lok Sabha and one Rajya Sabha MPs reached to brainstorm on railway facilities. On behalf of other MPs their representatives attended the meeting. MP Santosh Gangwar demanded that the problem of jam at level crossing number 244 (Hartman) and level crossing number 248 should be taken seriously. The MP demanded the installation of CCTV cameras and lights in all the underpasses along with cleanliness. Said, the road of newly constructed underpass at Kudeshia crossing has started crumbling. Said, due to train number 19061/1906 being Ramnagar-Bandra weekly, passengers going to Mumbai are not getting the benefit. This should be done daily or three days a week. Kathgodam-New Delhi via Bareilly train should be run like Delhi Shatabdi.
Badaun MP Sanghamitra Maurya demanded to run direct trains from Badaun to Delhi and Lucknow along with renovation of stations in Badaun Lok Sabha constituency. Said, there was a rail gate in Yadpur (Bisauli) which has been closed. Now people have to pass 10 km away, this problem should be solved. He also demanded to make underpasses at the railway gates of Malgaon on Bareilly-Badayun main road and Badaun-Dataganj main road. After the meeting, General Manager, North Eastern Railway, Ashok Kumar Mishra said that the demands of the MPs and their representatives have been taken seriously. Necessary steps will be taken after assessing the utility of CCTV in the underpass. On other suggestions also, the Railway Administration will take meaningful steps.

Pilibhit MP Varun Gandhi’s representative Kamalkant demanded to start direct train from Pilibhit to Mathura named Bansuri Express, start train from Pilibhit-Shahjahanpur rail section to Lucknow and speedy gauge conversion on Pilibhit-Shahgarh rail section. .
Rampur MP Ghanshyam Lodhi’s representative Narendra Singh demanded stopping of train numbers 12091/12092 and 12039/12040 of Izzatnagar division at Bilaspur road station and installation of display boards at Rampur station for the convenience of tourists.
Anoop Mishra, representative of Farrukhabad MP Mukesh Rajput demanded removal of encroachment from the land of loco shed in Fatehgarh. Said, along with connecting Farrukhabad with Bareilly, the train going from Kanpur Central to Amritsar should be run via Farrukhabad-Kasganj-Badayun.
Representative of Mathura MP Hema Malini, Janardan Sharma suggested construction of passenger shed on railway land of Mathura Cantonment station and doubling of Mathura-Vrindavan rail section.
Ravi Yadav, representative of Amla MP Dharmendra Kashyap demanded construction of overbridge at Maheshpura level crossing. Said, the problem was not solved by the foot overbridge at the Madhinath level crossing, so an underpass should be made. Train should be run for Lucknow and Delhi via Badaun to Bareilly.
Moradabad MP Dr. ST Hasan’s representative M. Hasan demanded stoppage of Corbett Park Link Express and computerized reservation counter at Pipalsana station. Also demanded for street lighting in all the underpasses built on the Moradabad-Kashipur rail section.
Kanpur MP Satyadev Pachauri’s representative Nidhish Pandey said that the DPR of the proposed elevated rail track in Kanpur area should be prepared soon so that it can be constructed soon.
Almora MP Ajay Tamta’s representative Deepchandra Pathak demanded reduction in travel time by improving the time table of Purnagiri Jan Shatabdi Express running between Tanakpur-Delhi. Demanded to provide night train service between Tanakpur-Dehradun and to make weekly train between Kathgodam-Jammutvi daily. Demanded for early construction of Ramnagar-Chaikhutiya rail line and laying of new railway line at Khatima, Nanakmatta, Rudrapur.
Shahjahanpur MP Arun Kumar Sagar’s representative Manmohan Singh said that the railways should improve the quality of its services. He demanded to display the Tourism Guidance Board at the station of North Eastern Railway at Shahjahanpur.
