IRCTC Will Run Two Tourist Trains For Mata Vaishno Devi In Navratri

Railway has given a gift to the devotees of Mata Vaishno Devi on Shardiya Navratri starting from 26th September. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will run two Bharat Gaurav tourist trains on 25th and 30th September. Bharat Gaurav train will leave for Katra from Delhi’s Safdarjung railway station at 7 pm on 25th and 30th September. In this train equipped with all amenities, passengers will be able to start their journey from Ghaziabad, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Ambala Cantt, Sirhind and Ludhiana. According to IRCTC officials, during these five-day journey, passengers will be provided with vegetarian food in trains, sightseeing through buses, accommodation in hotels, guide and insurance facilities.

Officials say that if there are 50 bookings in Pathankot too, then a special stop will be made here. According to officials, passengers can get information on IRCTC website. Apart from this, booking can also be done online. The booking facility is available on the official website on ‘first come-first served’ basis.

Initiatives taken under ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ scheme

IRCTC officials say that the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train is being run under the Government of India’s initiative ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ to promote domestic tourism. An entertainment and infotainment system has also been installed in the train, officials said.

There is a provision of clean toilets. Security guards and CCTV cameras will also be available in each coach. In this tour package of IRCTC, apart from rail travel, delicious vegetarian food, sightseeing through buses, accommodation in hotels, guide and insurance facilities will also be provided to the passengers. Government/PSU employees can also avail LTC facility on this journey as per eligibility based on the guidelines of Ministry of Finance, Government of India.

IRCTC Chandigarh-based Regional Manager MPS Raghav said that in this package of four day and five night journey of Vaishno Devi, the fare has been fixed at Rs 13,790 per person. If a joint ticket of two people is made, then 11 thousand 990 rupees will have to be paid per person.
