Preparations are on to take action against Kushinagar’s District Program Officer (DPO) Shailendra Kumar Rai and several CDPOs accused of corruption. The government has received the investigation report of corruption conducted by the DM. In the investigation report, many serious allegations have been found true by the DPO, including making recovery by making illegal people sit in the office, withholding the salary of the employees and exploiting them.
Actually, many complaints of corruption were received against DPO Shailendra. Based on the complaints, DM S Rajalingam handed over the investigation to the CDO. The CDO had formed a joint team of SDM Kaptanganj and Project Director District Rural Development Agency and got all the allegations investigated. All the allegations were found to be true in the investigation. The investigation was not conducted only due to non-verification of allegations related to money laundering in the recruitment of Anganwadi. On the basis of the investigation report, DM Kushinagar has sent the recommendation of action against the DPO and other culprits to the government. On the basis of the recommendation of the DM, the Child Development Services and Nutrition Department has started preparations for action against the accused DPOs and their associates, many CDPOs.
The recovery was done by making an outsider sit in the office
A complaint was made against Shailendra that he illegally kept a person named Jayaprakash alias Pappu as a computer operator in the DPO office and linked him to the official WhatsApp group. Apart from this, by giving additional charge of the pit to the close CDPO Sukrauli Muhammad Qayyum, making an illegal recovery by sitting an outside woman in the office in an unauthorized manner, giving regular salary to CDPO Kaptanganj Roma Singh even after not coming to the office, Anganwadi center located at Gram Panchayat Barwa Ratanpur But even after non-distribution of nutrition for many years, they harass by showing the allocation of nutrition and by withholding the salary of many CDPOs and chief servants arbitrarily. The allegations have been confirmed in the investigation.
