Prince William of Wales said he would humbly perform his duties

London, Sep 11 (AP) Britain’s King Charles III’s son and the new Prince of Wales, William, told Wales Minister Mark Drakeford on Sunday that he would “politely fulfill his responsibilities and serve the country with great honour.”

Following the death of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday, her son Charles took the throne. With this the title of Prince of Wales has now been given to Charles’ son, William.

William tells Drakeford that he and his wife, Catherine, have a deep affection for Wales, where their son, Prince George, spent the early months of his life.

William said the couple would travel to Wales ‘very soon’. He added that he wants to do his part to fulfill the aspirations of the people of Wales and shine a light on both the challenges and opportunities they face.
