Explaining the reason behind this, Ram Gopal Varma said, ‘Vijay Deverakonda had made some controversial statements during the promotion of the film ‘Liger’. This had a negative impact on the film. Due to Vijay Deverakonda’s cruelty and manner of speaking, the audience pulled away from the film. The director further added that ‘Karan Johar’s films are getting negative response on social media after the demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The producer of the film ‘Liger’ was Karan Johar. Hence the film and Vijay Deverakonda had to face failure.
