Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken major action against UP’s Bahubali Mukhtar Ansari. The ED team raided several locations of Mukhtar and his close people located in Delhi, Lucknow, Ghazipur and Mau since Thursday morning. The ED also raided Mukhtar’s house in Muhammadabad and searched.
The ED had received information about undeclared assets and illegal transactions from the locations of Mukhtar and his close associates. After that the ED has clamped down on Mukhtar Ansari and his close associates. The ED has also raided the places of Vikram Agrahari, Ganesh Mishra and the owner of Khan Bus Service. Armed personnel were deployed during the operation on the hideouts of Mukhtar and his close associates. The ED’s action continued till late night.

Former jail minister on target in Mukhtar Ansari case, high power committee formed
Former Jail Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa may face trouble in the matter of providing VVIP facilities to the infamous gangster Mukhtar Ansari in Ropar Jail during the tenure of Captain Amarinder Singh government in Punjab. State Jail Minister Harjot Singh Bains, in the report submitted to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in this regard, has talked about political nexus with Delhi, apart from the former jail minister, apart from many top officers of the jail department.
According to sources, in the report submitted to the Chief Minister, it has been said that Mukhtar Ansari was imprisoned only in name while he continued to live with full amenities in the Officer Quarters in Ropar Jail. There his wife also used to visit frequently. Although Jail Minister Bains did not make his report public, but he has made it clear that many big faces will be exposed in this case. He said that the Chief Minister has constituted a high-powered committee in this matter. Next action will be taken based on his report.
