Godolphin’s horses achieved a well-deserved double during the activities of the third day of the Ebor York Festival, which was held this Friday evening at York Racecourse, Britain, and came through both the “Noble Style” in the third, and “Desert Order” in the sixth.
The “Noble Style”, under the supervision of Charlie Appleby and led by William Buick, opened the double on his unbeaten record and ran hard from behind to score the victory in the Aquaworld Dubai Gamecrack Stakes for the second category.
The son of the stallion “Kingman” managed to outperform his competitors in a wonderful way in the race that extended for a distance of 1200 meters, and rushed in the last furlong and then changed his course to find an empty path through which he advanced and beat the runner-up “Marshman” by a length and a quarter of the length.
The two-year pony “Desert Order” completed the Godolphin double after a deserved victory in the 1400m Maiden Stakes, giving Appleby and Buick a double at the ceremony.
The first victory is for Ibn al-Fahl “Dabawi” in the third start, where he came second and third in the first two races he competed, and the rising pony starred after a fierce competition with “Glenfinnan” by half the length.
The ceremony witnessed the victory of the “Highfield Princess” mare Colmore and the Woton Basset Nanthorpe Stakes in the first category, the most important round of the ceremony, after defeating the most prominent horses with merit.
