Cultural – Temporary worker of Jal Shakti Department is giving swimming tips to children

Samba. Rajeev Singh, a temporary employee of the Jalshakti Department of Mandi Thalora, is busy in teaching young children the virtues of swimming. He has made 50 children swimmers till now. His dedication and service is being appreciated from all sides.
Rajeev Singh told that during the lockdown, Mandi used to come to Thalora’s pond to take a bath. He also brought his children along. The children were eager to swim in the water. He first started teaching swimming to children. Seeing him, gradually the children of the mandis also started coming to him. He started giving swimming tips to the children in the pond. Seeing the enthusiasm of the children, they also felt that they would continue to make children swimmers. With this, he started teaching the children of Sangwali Mandi to swim in the pond along with Mandi. Due to this the children also became swimmers. Today a dozen kids are learning to swim by coming to him everyday. Rajiv said that children are being taught the art of swimming in the pond up to four feet in water. He said that seeing small children swimming, other youths are also reaching to learn to swim in the water.
According to Rajiv, large floats are taken out in the water on Shri Krishna Janmashtami in this pond, while half a dozen youths have learned swimming tricks in this pond. Who has now become a skilled swimmer. Rajiv Singh said that temporary employees’ strike is going on in the Jal Shakti Department. Its advantage is being given in teaching swimming to children.
