More Than 7500 Officers And Jawans Will Be Deployed In Mohali To Protect Pm Modi

In view of the arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Mohali on August 24, Punjab Police has almost completed preparations for tight security arrangements. To finalize these preparations, DGP Gaurav Yadav has called a meeting of high police officers on Saturday. At present, Punjab Police has decided to deploy more than 7500 police officers and jawans in the area in view of Prime Minister Modi’s program.

This security system will be of 3 to 5 layers. In this, any outsider will be prohibited from entering without permission. Apart from this, it has also been decided to impose Section 144 within a radius of 5 km in the area.

There was a huge security lapse during the Prime Minister’s visit during the assembly elections in Punjab. Due to this the Prime Minister had to return to Delhi midway. Now the State Government and Punjab Police are engaged in ensuring that the Prime Minister’s visit is completed in a pleasant and peaceful manner. When asked about the Prime Minister’s program in Mohali, DGP Gaurav Yadav said that at present, the police has not received any information about his organizing any public meeting.
