A priest from the capital Jaipur set himself on fire by pouring oil. The priest was badly burnt in the fire. The priest has been admitted to the burn ward of Sawai Mansingh Hospital in a critical condition.
The priest lived in the Lakshmi Narayan temple located in Shankar Vihar of Murlipura police station area. Priest Girraj Sharma was having a dispute with the officials of the temple committee. It is being told that the members of the temple committee wanted to forcibly remove the priest. For this reason, the priest was being harassed every day. Various allegations were being leveled against him.
On information, Murlipura police station reached the spot. At the same time, ACP Pramod Swami reached the temple and inquired about the incident. FSL team has been called to the spot. At the same time, the police have taken two people into custody. Police has gathered in the investigation of the matter.
