America supports Zelensky’s participation in the G20 summit

The White House said Friday that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky should attend the G20 summit in Bali if Russian President Vladimir Putin attends.
This comes after the President of Indonesia said that the Russian President will likely participate in the summit.
“As President Biden himself has said publicly, he does not believe President Putin should attend the G-20 meetings” given the current situation in Ukraine, the US National Security Council said in a statement. The council added that if Putin attends, the United States believes that Zelensky should also participate.
Indonesian President Joko Widodo has said he expects both Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping to attend the summit, which will be held in November, in line with his desire not to take sides on the crisis in Ukraine and the US-China differences.
