The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai discussed unifying efforts with the municipality and the Health Authority regarding the organization of cemeteries and burial procedures.
The department held an extensive coordination meeting at its headquarters in Mamzar, which included the Acting Director of Health and Safety Department in Dubai Municipality, Eng. Mohammed Al Dhanhani, Alaa Muhammad, from the Health Authority, Head of the Guidance and Religious Guidance Department Ibrahim Jassim Al Mansouri, Head of the Religious Awareness Department Ismail Kamel Al Buraimi, and some preachers and specialists in the department.
Yusra Al-Qaoud, Director of Religious Education and Guidance Department in the department, said that the meeting came within the framework of coordinating and unifying the joint efforts between local departments and institutions in Dubai regarding the organization of cemeteries and burial procedures, noting that they discussed the mechanism of cooperation and joint coordination for washing and shrouding operations and the process of training and qualifying residents of the rituals of washing. and their licensing.
She added that the meeting discussed how to deal with some deceased cases, which require medical intervention when washing and shrouding, such as closing the wounds of the deceased and stopping the bleeding and some other legal procedures and controls related to how to burial in graves, washing and shrouding, taking into account the preservation of the sanctity and privacy of the deceased in front of his family and relatives.
