Light rain lashed parts of Punjab and Haryana on Tuesday, leading to cold conditions at many places in both The states. According to The Meteorological Department, it will rain in many areas of Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana for The next two days. After this, The season will open on 27 January. Although there is a forecast of rain again on 28 January.
According to The Meteorological Center Chandigarh, there was light rain in some parts including Chandigarh on Tuesday. However, Bathinda in Punjab is in The grip of severe cold. The minimum temperature here was recorded at four degrees Celsius. Gurdaspur recorded a minimum temperature of five degrees Celsius, Barnala 6.4, Faridkot 6.9, Amritsar 6.2, Ludhiana 7.4 and Patiala 9.3 degrees Celsius.
Whereas, Sirsa was The coldest place in Haryana, where The minimum temperature was recorded at 5.5 degree Celsius. The night temperature was recorded at 8.8 degrees Celsius in Hisar, 9.6 in Karnal, 10.4 in Rohtak and 9.1 in Bhiwani. Chandigarh recorded a minimum temperature of 9.4 degrees Celsius.
