Even after giving an ultimatum regarding the incidents of looting at filling stations in Sonipat, petrol pump operators have gone on strike for not arresting the ax gang. Pump operators have gone on a 24-hour strike from 6 am. Due to this people are not getting petrol, diesel and CNG. Drivers are worried.

The members of the Petroleum Dealers Welfare Association had decided to go on a 24-hour strike by holding an emergency meeting on Thursday in view of the ever-increasing incidents of the ax gang. Filling station operators had alleged that the environment was unsafe due to the continuous incidents of robbery and attacks. He had spoken of going on strike accusing the police-administration of not cooperating and not taking the incidents of robbery-attack seriously.

Parvinder Khatri, the district head of Petroleum Dealers Association, said that the miscreants bring pistols and axes and run away after robbing them. This creates an atmosphere of fear among the salesmen.

From 6 o’clock in the morning, the petrol pump operators have announced to be on strike by putting up hoardings and banners outside the pumps. The drivers who arrived at the petrol pumps in the morning to get diesel-petrol had to return without taking any petrochemicals. Due to which many people also got troubled.
