According to the information, the staff of the hotel and all the people present there were evacuated after being hit by the flood. This hotel was completed a few days back and it was one of the biggest and most expensive hotels in the city.

The flash floods that followed the sudden heavy rains in some parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have caused heavy damage. Due to the floods, there has been heavy damage to houses, crops and roads. Electricity was also badly affected in Swat, Dir and Dera Ismail Khan districts.
The flood waters damaged about 100 houses, washed away more than 50 animals and damaged several mosques and bridges. The Relief, Rehabilitation Department of KP has issued a notification. According to this, the state of emergency will remain in force in Swat till August 30.
Regarding the flood situation, the district administration claims that bridges in Matta, Sukhara and Lalko have collapsed. In addition, several hotels and restaurants on the Mingora bypass have been flooded, while the Mingora bypass road has also been closed for traffic.
