A case of brutality of Naxalites has come to the fore in Chhattisgarh. A villager was murdered in Nilavaya village of Dantewada district alleging an informer. The Naxalites raided the villager’s house after midnight. Threatening pamphlets were also found at the site of the incident.
According to Dantewada police, Harendra Koram, a youth of Patel Para of Nilavaya, was murdered on the intervening night of 26-27 April. His FIR has been registered in police station Aranpur. Pamphlets thrown by Naxalites were also recovered from the spot. Accusing him of being an informer, the Naxalites picked up Harendra from the house while sleeping and after taking him some distance, attacked him with a sharp weapon and killed him.
During the 2018 assembly elections in Nilavaya village, a DD News journalist, Aranpur police station sub-inspector Rudrapratap Singh and a jawan were ambushed by Naxalites. Since that time till now the government has not been able to complete the road construction in this village. This area is under the influence of Malangir Naxal Area Committee.
