Many wild animals like tiger, leopard, wolf, bear, golden jackal, chinkara, nilgai, fox, striped hyena are present in this sanctuary.
There were 102 tigers in 2018
Till 2018, 102 tigers were counted in the three tiger reserves of Rajasthan. According to experts, the number of tigers in the Ranthambore Reserve has increased significantly. More than 300 sq km area in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve will be left as habitat for animals. The rest of the area will act as a buffer zone. Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve will have a core area of 39,920 hectares and a buffer zone of 74,091 hectares.
Proposal was sent to convert it into Tiger Reserve
The Union Ministry of Forest Environment and Climate Change had given its approval on 3 July 2021 to Ramgarh Vishdhari Sanctuary as the fourth tiger reserve in Rajasthan. The Technical Committee of the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) had sent a proposal to convert the Ramgarh Vishdhari Sanctuary into a Tiger Reserve.

Wildlife experts said that there are many varieties of flowers in the Vishdhari Tiger Reserve. It is also an important area for research and education. Along with this, historical and cultural eco-tourism places like Bhimlat, Ramgarh Mahal will also be encouraged.
